MAGallery Artist

My name is Sandra Vales, and I am a contemporary abstract/mixed-media artist from the metro Atlanta area. I am a retired teacher and taught elementary art for 31 years for Fulton County Schools. I consider myself a contemporary painter/mixed media artist and enjoy painting abstract designs, still-life, and portraits. Using colorful and bold colors mixed occasionally with fabric and other items. I enjoy creating works that are festive and vibrant, have rhythm and movement, and hopefully spread hope and joy to the viewers. My artwork is influenced by Impressionism, Abstract Expressionism, Pop Art, Folk art, African American artists, and Modern art.
