Rita Knight

Rita graduated from the University of Georgia with a B.S. in English. She has taught at all levels...from elementary to high school. She was one of three teachers in Clarke County who taught on a Reading Fluency Grant through UGA. Rita developed the curriculum, "The Art of Jewelry Design" and taught the entrepreneurship curriculum at Clarke Central and Cedar Shoals High Schools in Athens, Ga. Her classes have been featured in Lakelife Magazine. She is particularly proud that her students have had the opportunity to sell their jewelry through the Madison Artists Guild Gallery and participated in the MMAM Holiday Market.

After taking workshops with several well-known artists, she found her true niche in intuitive and whimsical painting. Her focus has been angels, women, and florals. Her 18K gold-plated Earring Collection has been very popular in MAGallery, as well as other locations.
