Mark graduated from the University of Delaware and Walter F. George School of Law, Mercer University. Prior to retiring to Lake Sinclair with his wife Jean, Mark was a lawyer and multifamily lender in Atlanta. Mark's work can be found in private and corporate collections throughout the southeast. Mark was recently commissioned to sculpt the awards for the 2023 Governor's Awards for the Arts.

Mark is a contemporary artist focusing on figurative and representational paintings and sculptures. A life-long and self-taught artist, Mark's style combines classical, abstract, folk, and high art sensibilities. Mark paints with a palette knife on steel panels and canvas. His sculptures are influenced by ancient Greek and Roman fragments and frescos.
