MAGallery Artist

Lisa Wheeler, award-winning photographer, is a self-taught artist who grew up in Atlanta, taking after-school and summer art classes at Chastain Park, Callanwolde, and the Art Institute of Atlanta.

Photography became her favorite form of artistic expression in 2003 when she began digital photography. She enjoys spending time outdoors, so seeing nature through the viewfinder has helped her slow down and notice the little things. She focuses on macro photography but continues to experiment in various media and expand her horizons thanks to the inspiration and encouragement received from other artists. Lisa hopes that by sharing her point of view, others will be enlightened to look at things differently, too.
