MAGallery Artist

Karen grew up along the Gulf Coast and Charleston, South Carolina. She now lives in Lake Oconee near Greensboro, Georgia.

As an artist she is always learning, studying, practicing patience, and keeping her commitment to art to be exciting and challenging, working in multimedia but focusing mostly in oils. She observes and translates her subjects with impression, imagination, and expression using the artist's tools of color with an artistic eye. Karen's goal is to communicate to the viewer the feel of a place - the warmth of the day, the smell of the grass, the trees, the ocean spray, how the light and atmosphere change the outdoor colors. She hopes you travel with her in her paintings and take you to the places of their inspiration.
