Audrone Kirschner

My love of painting and the arts in general started at a very early age. It became my passion throughout middle and high school. After high school I attended Pratt Institute in Brooklyn NY and continued my education in painting and printmaking classes at the NY Art Students League under Mario Cooper and Will Barnet and the Atlanta School of Art with Carla Haus in Georgia. While I have "experimented" in numerous media including oils, mixed media and clay my focus has been water media. My 2D works vary in size from miniatures to 4'x 8' panels and in 3D from clay mural panels to functional pieces.

  • Because of my continued passion of flora and nature I have created several series including
    • "Invasive Series" - a visual narrative on beautiful invasive plants and the harm they can create to our ecosystems
    • "Transitions" identifies the mythological connection to flora by way of their nomenclature.
  • Educated at Pratt Institute in NY and continued with painting and printmaking at the NY Art Students League with Mario Cooper and Will Barnett.
  • Numerous awards at local and national juried art exhibitions
  • Works are included in collections of numerous institutions as well as national and international private collections.
  • Solo exhibits including the Chieftains Museum in Rome, GA., Oconee Cultural Arts Center, Myers Gallery in Athens Academy, Georgia Botanical Gardens, Athens, GA. amongst others.
